Eradicate Food Apartheids!

Detroit is one among many of predominately black neighborhoods labeled under the misnomer "Food Desert". Majority of our neighborhoods lack adequate resources and grocery stores to facilitate healthy eating habit and lifestyles. Dara Cooper coined the more accurate term "Food Apartheid", used by many Food Activists to describe the intentional systematic destruction of resources, capabilities and access to fresh wholesome foods. Liberated Farms works diligently with our brother & sister farms and community partners to help create a sustainable, liberated agricultural environment right in Detroit, Michigan.
